GHANAIAN PRINCESS LAUNCHES HISTORIC TRADITIONAL AFRICAN RETURN OF THE ROYALS WEDDING IN DENVER, COLORADO
Denver, CO --  On September 28, 2018, His Excellency Ghana President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo launched the "Year of Return, Ghana 2019" inviting all peoples of African descent to come to visit Ghana. The Year of Return, Ghana 2019 is a historic tourism campaign targeting African Americans and the Diaspora and marking 400 years since the first enslaved African arriving in Jamestown, Virginia.

In addition to the Hon. U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and key members of the Congressional Black Caucus, celebrities including Danny Glover, Samuel Jackson, Colin Kaepernick, Boris Kodjoe, and Steve Harvey have visited Ghana as part of the U.S.A. 400 Years Commemoration of the first landing of Africans in America in August 1619.

Honoring this historic occasion, Her Excellency Rev. Dr. Princess Asie Kabuki Ocansey founded Royal Return Ghana, an enriching homecoming experience devoted to adopting African Americans into Ghanaian families. In honor of the African ancestors who were not allowed to marry during the first 250 years of U.S. slavery, Royal Return Ghana will bring 400 African American couples to the Motherland of Ghana to marry or renew their vows. As the princess of the Ocansey Royal Family of Ada, Ghana, she will also lead a renaming ceremony at the Royal Ocansey healing waters of Ada.
