Author Max Miller Releases New Self-Help Book “Blame It on the Feel of Pain” About Detangling From Past Pain

Get ready for a transformational journey toward inner peace as indie author Max W. Miller’s new self-help release, Blame It On The Feel Of Pain, inspires readers in a witty, down-to-earth book. Truth and compassion are foretold, using poetic frames called ‘The Wises,’ and the help of opinionated little emojis bringing laughter and thought-provoking conclusions throughout.

The author encourages her readers, whom she also calls partners, to stop wrestling with the hard knocks of the past. She expresses how voluntarily walking back into time precedes trauma healing. Confronting lingering pains is a step toward strength and hope for the future. ‘Blame It’ delves into the author’s life experiences, bringing to life the importance of using Full Circle Moments to find resolutions.

Throughout Blame It On The Feel Of Pain, the reader grows to understand through a unique interpretation that what we are destined to become grows out of the years we’ve already traveled. Further, our future hinges on how we address the pains of the past. Other expressions focus on how desires in the present are carved out of having a clear vision that old, lingering strongholds must be defeated. A history of suffering is a prerequisite for becoming fed up enough to demand enjoyment now!

Juneteenth Events Taking Place In
Southeast Queens and Jamaica NY

What Is Juneteenth?

Juneteenth (short for June + nineteenth) commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union Gen. Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation—liberating the last enslaved people in the Confederacy—more than two years after it was signed.

It’s widely recognized as America’s second Independence Day—the longest-running African American holiday, honoring the conclusion of slavery in the U.S.

📚 Historical Context & Significance

Although slavery officially ended with the 13th Amendment in December 1865, many in Texas remained enslaved due to lack of enforcement

Juneteenth emerged as a celebration of delayed freedom—starting in Texas in 1866—and gradually spread nationwide. It symbolizes both emancipation and the continued fight for civil rights and justice .

Legacy, Symbolism & Observance

The NAACP highlights Juneteenth as an annual reminder that “freedom is a thread, and a fight, woven through this nation’s history,” calling for action to protect civil rights and equality. Source naacp.org.

The Smithsonian NMAAHC emphasizes themes of resilience, activism, and community—with celebrations centered on family, educational activities, barbeques, music, and traditions like wearing red to honor ancestors.

Celebratory elements include red foods (watermelon, soda, velvet cake), historic readings, oral storytelling, drumming, dancing, and flag displays.

🏛 Recognition & Evolution

Juneteenth has grown from local, often rural, church- and creek-side gatherings into state and federal holiday status—Texas recognized it in 1980, and it became a federal holiday in 2021.

Celebrations now span the country, combining joyous festivals with educational components and calls to action—continuing the tradition of using Juneteenth to advocate for voter empowerment and equity nationalwomenshistoryalliance.org
