Chamber Executives States “Chamber Development and Leadership Development Vital To Black Business Growth Across America”

By Phil Andrews

National News – Chamber Executives States “chamber development and leadership development is vital to black business growth Across America” during COVID-19 Crisis, and Post COVID-19.  It is no secret that Black Businesses in America have suffered a tremendous loss during this recent pandemic.

Chamber development and leadership development plans and strategies must work in parallel together to foster business growth in the Black Community in a sustainable manner many years into the future.  Corporate support of diversity initiatives in the Black Community will continue to play a vital role in leveling the playing field in America.

“As President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. we have seen the direct correlation between chamber development and leadership development in the business sector as an opportunity to not only return businesses to prior levels, but help them to fuel their growth to the next level.”  Phil Andrews, President – Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. – New York State’s largest African American Chamber of Commerce and the New York District Office of the United States Small Business Administration.

Coincidentally, our chamber launched our campaign to Retool, Refocus and Rebuild Black Business in New York State in November of 2019 prior to the Covid-19 crises. At that time we decided to  raise the bar for what it means to be a black chamber in New York State. As chambers of commerce such as ours continue to evolve we believe that it will result in significant growth of Black Businesses across a variety of industries.

Since our chamber was founded we have actively provided a wide variety of programs and activities geared towards increasing our member’s capacity to grow their respective business enterprises to the next level.  The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. stands firm on our chamber’s ability to impact the scope, size, and growth of small business owners in our region for many years into the future.  See information about Wish & LIAACC: The Wish Local Empowerment Program below!
