Minority Enterprise Development Month (MEDM) 2025 2.0 Coming to Town of Hempstead Oct. 2025
Hempstead, New York - Minority Enterprise Development Month (MEDM) 2025 2.0 1st day of activities coming to the Town of Hempstead One Washington Street, Hempstead, New York on Oct. 9th, 2025 and will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm. Since its inception Minority Enterprise Development Month in New York State has continued to fuel the growth of small and midsized businesses in the State of New York.

Minority Enterprise Development Month 2025 2.0 will continue its unique partnership which includes:
  • The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.,
  • 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc.,
  • Lorraine Gregory Communications, and
  • African American Small Business Foundation, Inc.
This year leading up to Minority Enterprise Development Month 2025 2.0 we will be hosting a series of Pre-Med Week activities prior to the month of October as part of our 15th year anniversary celebration. In the past MED Month have consisted of three major events throughout the month centered around providing quality content, tools, and resources designed to fuel small and midsized businesses throughout the state of New York.

Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 15 Years of Impact and Future Growth


New York, New York – The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) was founded in 2010 by its Former Chairman John L. Scott * (deceased). During the last 15 years the chamber has impacted the current and future growth of small business in New York State. The chamber has continued to bring innovative programs to its service territories which include the counties of Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk.  

Under the leadership of its membership Chairman Deon Brown the chamber has increased membership significantly since its founding in October of 2010.  The chamber’s initial public meeting was held in the Village of Hempstead.
