NYS Senator Leroy Comrie Honors
Dr. Alicia Massop-Flowers As A
Women Of Distinction
Alicia Massop-Flowers, D.O., has worked as a general pediatrician for almost 15 years. Her medical ministry has allowed her to serve the community in the areas of the Bronx, Harlem, and Upper Manhattan. She also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medical School in Harlem.

Community service is very important to Dr. Massop-Flowers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Massop-Flowers, along with the Northeastern Conference of SDA, conducted free testing not only for New York City and New York State, but throughout territories of the Northeastern Conference of SDA. She and her team were also asked to conduct COVID-19 testing in the Men’s Shelter in Brooklyn, which they did free of charge.

Dr. Massop-Flowers has a private practice in Springfield Gardens that allows non-patients in the community to get COVID-19 testing at no cost, a practice she continues to this day.

ROSA HIGGS REPORTEDLY IS 1ST BLACK AUTHOR TO CREATE PHONICS WORKBOOKS THAT DRASTICALLY IMPROVE READING SKILLS IN 30 DAYS OR LESS

Rosa Higgs, a teacher from Berkeley, California, who has proven why phonics instruction matters. Her phonics workbook series, entitled Read in 40 Hours or Less, are designed to help Black students learn to read well and beyond grade level in less than 40 hours of direct instruction.

Across the country, students are experiencing a K-12 crisis in reading skills. In the state of California, millions of dollars are spent every year on education, but students and teachers are overwhelmed by COVID-19 and distance learning and the lack of improved reading skills for many vulnerable Black students proves it.

The coronavirus was a test of America’s ability to provide quality and equitable education to all students. The virus wrecked the school system with unfathomable momentum highlighting known disparities of Black students' access to computers, the internet, trauma, and basic needs such as food and adequate shelter. The Read in 40 Hours or Less workbook series can take schools from inadequate to extraordinary by improving reading skills for our vulnerable Black and Brown students.  To order Click Here

The Black Business Owners Forum Looks To Level UP Your Business For Growth With Corporate And Government Contracts

Did you know over 90% of Black businesses are sole proprietorships with no employees and generate less than $55,000 a year? Less than 2% of Black businesses get government or corporate contracts and venture capital. I want to turn this around and help develop more viable Black businesses.

Hi, my name is Kamau Austin, award-winning publisher of The Southeast Queens Scoop news blog. I wanted to tell you about an opportunity to attend the groundbreaking
Black Business Owners Forum (BBOF), that's helped me grow and expand my business.

One of the most dedicated women I know working hard to help build Black businesses with economic opportunities is my friend Danielle Douglas. She is the Founder of BBOF.

She is going hard to help Black business people get lucrative corporate and government contracts. Danielle has the experience and contacts to help you.

She teaches Black businesses, with other top insider professionals, how to prepare our entrepreneurs to get lucrative contract opportunities with the government and also major corporations at her Black Business Owners Forum 2021 (BBOF).
