Legendary Jazz Pianist George Cables and His Talented World Class Trio Gives Thanks & All That Jazz From Queens New York

By Kamau Austin with Ed Jackson

St. Albans New York - Jackson Room, the go to local venue for outstanding jazz, and Ed Jackson, club owner and leader of his highly regarded quartet that bears his name, is again acting on their mission: to "bring world class jazz back to our community."   The jazz epicenter Jackson Room, has become the place to be for exceptional jazz performances in Queens - the perennial home for classic jazz greats like Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Lena Horne, Illinois Jacquet, Miles Davis, and many more musical icons.

The Southeast Queens, near Jamaica, New York, jazz spot will be hosting the living legend jazz pianist George Cables. Ed Jackson, the group leader and sensational alto sax musician, is also a successful entrepreneur in the area.  He started Jackson Room, as a community outlet to also showcase premier jazz acts and groups on a monthly basis.

"After a tumultuous year of striving and surviving this year - giving thanks is certainly in order. In fact, we would do well to jazz it UP in celebration of overcoming this challenging Thanksgiving season" notes Jackson.

Ed further sounds out "I can think of no better person to perform at Jackson Room in our live stream this month, sharing our sound globally, than living legend and pianist extraordinaire George Cables!"

George will be performing with his highly regarded group the George Cables Trio, with Ed Jackson also as his special guest: Saturday, November, 28th, 2020, at 8:30 ET.
