“We’re excited to bring this show to the birthplace of Hip-Hop music,” said Rodgers. “Hip hop and R&B have given us countless legendary artists and songs. This concert is a celebration of these two beloved genres that have not only impacted Black culture, but the entire world.”
Rodgers founded Orchestra Noir in 2016 out of a desire to bring the world of orchestral music to the African-American community, as well as celebrate African-American music makers of all genres.
Orchestra Noir, The Atlanta African American Orchestra has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, VIBE, Essence, Complex, BET, the Miami Herald, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and has won Best of Atlanta for Classical Meets Contemporary by Atlanta Magazine.
