Stage Play Returns to Los Angeles Theater

 Los Angeles, CA  -- Dr. Gloria Morrow's Three Times a Lady is returning to The Miracle Theater in Inglewood, CA after a run in August 2018. Dr. Gloria is the playwright who wrote and produced, The Things That Make Men Cry, and Detours.

The story centers around the life and marriage of Dr. Viola Stafford (Denise Dowse), as she comes to grips with her husband Bill's (Alex Morris) sudden and staggering revelation -- news that will change their lives forever. Viola and Bill, along with Viola's best friends, the flower child Wanda (Karen Bankhead) and the DIVA Rose (Rhonda Morman) will take you on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the play. Dr. Stevens (Derek Shaun) will be a delightful surprise who brings order to the chaotic lives of Viola and Bill.

Three Times a Lady is directed by NAACP Theater Award Nominee (Best Director), Zadia Ife, and cast by Jeannine Fisher of Jeannine Fisher Casting. Steven Wayne of Siblatha Music is the Musical Director. The play stars veteran actress/director, 5 time NAACP Award Winner, Denise Dowse (HBO's Insecure, The Call, Ray, Beverly Hills 90210, Coach Carter, Sassy Mamas, Darker Face of the Earth, Vagina Monologues, and Othello) as Dr. Viola Stafford, and co-stars 4 time NAACP award winner, Alex Morris, (Guess Who, Malcolm in the Middle, City Guys, Alias, and PBS classic, Wishbone, and Baskets) as Bill Stafford, veteran actress/play & screenwriter, Karen Bankhead (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Franklin & Bash, Reno 911, Will & Grace, I am Sam, The Parkers, Girlfriends, Jamie Foxx Show, Gilmore Girls, and most recently Grey's Anatomy, Wedding Band, All About Esther) as Wanda, NAACP nominee and actor of screen and stage, Rhonda Morman (The Choir Director, CainAbel, Her Little Secret, Stolen Breath the Truth Revealed, Love Buddies, What Men Want, Black Boots, Brakedown, Conflicted, Blue God, The Conversation, Silent Screams, Sunday Mourning, In the Cut, The Things That Make Men Cry, and most recently, a Netflix Original, Motown Magic) as Rose, and the NAACP award winning actor, Derek Shaun (Black Angels Over Tuskegee, Sassy Mamas, The First Breeze of Summer, A Raisin in the Sun, The Things That Make Men Cry, Blood Divided, and Just a Dream) as Dr. Stevens.

Dr. Gloria is a clinical psychologist, who serves as a Medical Director of Behavioral Health for Golden Shore Medical Group, formerly Molina Medical Group.
