MARYLAND STATE LAWMAKER'S LATEST CASUALTY IN THE WAR ON THE N-WORD: HERE'S HOW TO UNMAKE IT!

Nationwide -- Aside from baseball, another American pastime is looking to see who uses the N-word next, especially if you're a celebrity or high-profile individual and white! But it looks like Maryland Democrat Mary Ann Lisanti was recently at bat and got some "wood" on the N-word ball. According to several news reports, Lisanti is reported to have used the N-word while having some drinks with a group of lawmakers at an Annapolis cigar bar.

After getting her "drink on" Lisanti is reported to have told a white colleague that campaigning in Prince George's County is door knocking in the "N-word district." Lisanti represents Hartford, MD. which is 85% white - she was referring to a County which is 64% Black.

And we all know, once caught under the glaring lights of the news media uttering: I-wanna-forget-the-enslavement-horror-not-gonna-pay-you-reparations-moniker: "N-word" - you're paraded thru the American consciousness with disdain. But an open and honest discussion about America's "stain" is held in abeyance so we play the "N-word" gotcha game ad infinitum.

VA GOV AND ATTY GEN MINSTREL BLACK FACES EVOKE AMERICA'S UNCANNY PREOCCUPATION WITH REAL BLACK FACES

Nationwide  C'mon. I need ev'rybody singin'. Coon Man (aka Virginia Governor Ralph Northam) you take the lead. I need all eleven seceding Southern states to join in: "I wish I was in the land of cotton, old times there are not forgotten." Now Northern States I need you to chime in. After all, you insured the enslaved cargo and the enslavement ships; exported the harvest from the enslaved labor; and ultimately removed the troops from the South ushering in Jim Crow. A monumental betrayal of African-Americans! Sing from your gut: "Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land."

The ships that appeared off the coast of Africa didn't emblazon a Confederate flag but a red, white and blue flag, with stars. And we were all led to believe enslavement was a southern peculiar institution: "Den carry me back to ole Virginny." The real black faces know better.

AMERICA SHOULD VIEW JAMES BALDWIN’S BEALE STREET WITH DIFFERENT OPTICS

Nationwide -- Beale Street is anywhere Black USA: rural or urban - where the 24/7 steady drumbeat of Black Lives Matter beat out justice against a pernicious rhythm of "implicit bias and unconscious discrimination". It is where Red, Black and Green fade into invisibility vis a' vis the landscape of Red and Blue United White States. It is where the pronouncements of white privilege and white entitlement emanate, as King puts it, "jangling discords of the nation."

This is where movies about race relations - streamed or projected, end the same - rendering spoiler alerts unnecessary. The black protagonist is always faced with insurmountable odds strategically placed by the white antagonist who denies at every turn their nefarious role in the arrested development of Black America.

The setting for the movie could very well be any Black USA community where the day is very much like yesterday: killings of unarmed blacks at the hands of noxious police, duplicated by staunch white racists; incarceration of innocent blacks by a rigged judicial system; profiling and arresting blacks for mundane acts of walking, driving, sitting, running, swimming, barbecuing; talking on the phone in a hotel lobby; asking to use the restroom; and simply BREATHING AIR. All charged to the same recurring theme of implicit bias.
