Reps. Meeks, Cummings, and Pallone Lead Request for GAO Investigation into Fraudulent Identities Submitted to FCC

Congressmen Gregory W. Meeks Investigation into Fraudulent Activities 

Washington, D.C.—Congressmen Gregory W. Meeks (NY-05), Elijah E. Cummings (MD-07), and Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) led six other Democrats in sending a letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) requesting that it investigate and issue a report that uncovers the extent that outside groups were using false identities during the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) recent net neutrality rule making process.

James Todd Smith, better known as LL Cool J, is again making his hometown of Southeast Queens proud. LL is a  Queens-bred rap artist, actor, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

LL Cool J is known mainly for his rap artist background and impressive television and film career. He is less known globally, but highly regarded in our area, for sponsoring youth and community based programs like the highly regarded Jump And Ball Community Camp, run at O'Connell Park, of Southeast Queens, during the Summer. 

LL has done it again, showing his determination in the classroom by completing the "Business of Entertainment" media & sports program at the prestigious Harvard University School of Business.  Recently, it was reported another hip hop standout Swiss Beatz, also graduated a business school program and Harvard U.

The information sessions hosted by the NYC Department of Education, will give parents/guardians an opportunity to learn about the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT), the admissions process, find out about LaGuardia High School auditions, and speak to a NYC Department of Education representative. Space is limited and available first-come, first-served.
