MIKKI TAYLOR AND OTHER INFLUENTIAL BLACK WOMEN TO BE CELEBRATED AT 5TH ANNUAL NOT JUST A GETAWAY EVENT

Nationwide --  On November 2-4, 2018, Not Just a Getaway (NJAG) will celebrate its fifth annual Girls Wine Out event in Lake Lanier, Gainesville, GA. The empowering women-lead retreat will honor Essence Magazine's Editor-at-Large Mikki Taylor, Erika Pittman, CMO of AQUAhydrate, Niya Brown Matthews, founder of Soul Food Sessions and Angel McCoughtry from Atlanta Dream, WNBA.

Not Just a Getaway is an interactive platform for women to get the balance needed, away from the 'hustle and bustle of life'. A leader in the self-care movement, NJAG aims to provide relief for both physical well-being and mental health.

The retreat enables women from all over the world to unite and feel empowered to take charge of their lives by equipping guests with the tools needed to manage everyday life, improve on self-care and live meaningful lives. The 5th annual celebration boasts the theme "fierce inside and out" and will feature an indoor "glamping" (Glamorous Camping) experience. Guests can anticipate "powerful" conversations, fitness sessions, wellness tips, fashion makeovers, spa time, slumber parties, mixology, makeup classes and an authentic connectivity with like-minded women that are seeking to put themselves first.

Previous getaways have been hosted in Cuba, Thailand, Greece, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The 5th Annual Girls Wine Out will also focus on raising money for women living with terminal cancer. Funds will be donated so that these women can also have the opportunity to have their own "Getaway", in hopes that it will lift their spirits and give them a chance to focus more on the positive aspects of life. Empower. Motivate. Balance

About Not Just A Getaway
Not Just a Getaway was founded by Tekeya Priester in 2013 after having a baby and experiencing the challenges of balancing life activities such as self-care, motherhood, marriage, and career. Priester decided to "getaway" with a group of friends on an overnight retreat at a local winery and spa.

Not knowing so many other women faced the same challenges, simple "girl talk" became life changing "therapy" and motivation to live the life desired. The refreshing combination of going somewhere new, learning something new, sharing advice/experiences, and relaxing in tranquil environment allowed for a renewed view on life, which became the beginnings for Not Just a Getaway (NJAG).
