Washington, DC -- Physical therapist and Professional Speaker Dr. Courtland Wyatt has released his debut book, titled Prescription For An Awesome Life! How to Set Goals That Will Make You WIN Every Time. An experienced veteran in the healthcare field and business owner, Dr. Wyatt shares his expertise on how he used goal setting techniques learned from his experiences as a physical therapist to show people who do not know how to set and write out goals for their lives to the "SOAP" method system for obtaining favorable results.

S.O.A.P. stands for "Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan," a method used in the health field to get desired outcomes by developing and documenting treatment plans and setting goals that are realistic and measurable for patients. People often feel overwhelmed by goals that seem too big or complex to achieve.

All they need to set and reach their goals is to use the techniques in this book, and invest less than five minutes a day in practicing them. By breaking down each task into easily digestible segments, accomplishing goals becomes virtually effortless.

GRAMMY-NOMINATED SAXOPHONIST TIA FULLER REUNITED BEYONCÉ'S ALL-GIRL BAND FOR BERKLEE CLASS
Tia Fuller
New York, NY -- Just a few short years ago, saxophonist Tia Fuller was rocking heels, skirts, and sequins as she powered through pop anthems like "Single Ladies" and "Crazy in Love" as part of BeyoncĂ©'s top-notch, all-female band, performing at major venues around the world.

In the meantime, the saxophonist has built an excellent career, recording a total of five full-length albums with her quartet, the last of which - 2018's Diamond Cut - landed on this year's Grammy Awards nomination ballot as Best Jazz Instrumental Album. She is the second woman to be nominated (as a leader) in the male-dominated jazz genre (the first woman to be nominated and win was her album's producer, drummer, and composer Teri Lyne Carrington, in 2014).

Beyond her growing accomplishments as a successful jazz artist, Fuller is laser-focused on her career in music education. With a B.A. in Music from Spelman College, and a Master's in Jazz Pedagogy and Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder, the ace reeds player now shares her broad expertise as a full-time Professor of Music at Boston's world-renowned Berklee College of Music. Her specialty? Ensembles: Creating 6-8 ensembles per semester, directing musicians how to play together, improvise, and give polished performances.

MARYLAND STATE LAWMAKER'S LATEST CASUALTY IN THE WAR ON THE N-WORD: HERE'S HOW TO UNMAKE IT!
Tolson Banner
Nationwide -- Aside from baseball, another American pastime is looking to see who uses the N-word next, especially if you're a celebrity or high-profile individual and white! But it looks like Maryland Democrat Mary Ann Lisanti was recently at bat and got some "wood" on the N-word ball. According to several news reports, Lisanti is reported to have used the N-word while having some drinks with a group of lawmakers at an Annapolis cigar bar.

After getting her "drink on" Lisanti is reported to have told a white colleague that campaigning in Prince George's County is door knocking in the "N-word district." Lisanti represents Hartford, MD. which is 85% white - she was referring to a County which is 64% Black.

And we all know, once caught under the glaring lights of the news media uttering: I-wanna-forget-the-enslavement-horror-not-gonna-pay-you-reparations-moniker: "N-word" - you're paraded thru the American consciousness with disdain. But an open and honest discussion about America's "stain" is held in abeyance so we play the "N-word" gotcha game ad infinitum.

Philadelphia, PA -- A line of fashion dolls arrives on the scene, stunning, curvaceous, and impeccably dressed. What are they called? Beautiful Blessings. "I created the Beautiful Blessings Doll Collection to build self-esteem and confidence," says Raveen. "I wanted girls and women to own dolls that help them realize that they are beautiful inside and out."

Dolls allow young girls to imagine themselves and the future they envision. From early childhood up until puberty and sometimes beyond, doll lovers can own upwards of ten fashion dolls. Their form becomes ingrained in children's imaginations as the ideal body type during the early stages of development, which could easily distort their expectations when dolls have dimensions that are disproportionate and unrealistic.

MEET ONE OF THE FIRST BLACK WOMEN TO MAKE HISTORY AS AN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER AND AUTHOR
Priscilla Russell, the first Black woman in the history of Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) to work as a Front-Line Manager
Atlanta, GA -- Veteran Air Traffic Controller Priscilla Russell's shocking and thought-provoking story will bring a new narrative to Black women's fictional literature. Her book, In Control: On a Wing and a Prayer, is the first of a two-part series.

In the book, her character begins her journey to becoming the first African-American woman, in the history of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), to be selected as a Front-line Manager. The book is loosely based on her life story and the struggles and pains of progressing in a male dominated industry.

"I have worked radar positions at the busiest Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in the world, Atlanta ARTCC in Hampton, Ga. I was the first African-American woman in the history of Atlanta ARTCC to be selected as a Front-Line Manager in 1994. It's hard to believe there are still 'first' happenings for Black women in America as I write this in 2018," says Russell.
