St. Pascal Baylon is an iconic and legendary Catholic school in the historic community of Jamaica or Southeast Queens.The highly respected school was known for its commitment to academics. It was a pivotal learning institution in Southeast Queens in the area known as St. Albans.
The St. Pascal Baylon Reunion Committee is celebrating the 50th Year Anniversary of the Learning Institution. Kamau interviews members to get a glimpse of the fun anticipated for this year's reunion which will take place in NY.

Yes,we are back! After taken a few months off we are now ready to present to you our first performance of the year with Jackson Room's own Ed Jackson Quartet.
Since Spring has finally arrived, we have prepared 2 heart warming jazz sets that will radiate through your soul. So, why not “Spring Into Jazz” with the Ed Jackson Quartet Saturday, April 29th for two special shows at 7:00pm and 8:30pm!

Black History Film Festival, April 14th & 15, 2023 Season 5 - Red Carpet Queens Underground International Film Festival
Jamaica Queens, NY – Announcing Season 5 of the Queens Underground International Black History Month Red Carpet Film Festival on Friday and Saturday, April 14th & 15 at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in downtown Jamaica, Queens, NY. Featuring Independent Filmmakers from all over, the Festival will span two days and include: Movie Shorts, Documentary Shorts, Poetry and Music Videos from the past and present.
This Season, Celebrity Actor, Writer, Director: Kaamel ‘Diezel’ Hasaun will be in attendance on both. Mr. Hasaun has over 40 professional credits to his name and most recently appeared in episodes of McGraw Ave., which is another hit series on Tubi and he is also well known for Movies such as: He Played Me, Dear Future Husband and Undying Love.
Held annually in April, Queens Underground ensures that Filmmakers near and far will have great weather to travel and dress up for the Red Carpet affair. This Season, the majority of the Submissions are from Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Texas, California, Maryland, Zambia, United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, Iran, Ghana, France and Canada.

THE MOM, DAD, AND TWO KIDS PROVIDING BLACK FAMILIES WITH 6 AND 7-STAR LUXURY TRAVEL EXPERIENCES
Glenn and Amanda Goring and their two daughters, Brooklyn and Lexington, are the owners/operators of a successful luxury travel business called In-Style Travel. Mom and Dad book the accommodations, curate travel itineraries, and serve as travel concierges for the luxury travel packages offered. Meanwhile, the two daughters serve as travel influencers and video bloggers for their company’s YouTube channel, LittleMissTravelers. Together, this family travels in style and aims to show the world that luxury travel can be a wonderful experience for everyone including Black families with small children.
Both licensed pharmacists, Amanda from New York and Glenn, originally from Canada, met while attending the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. The couple has been married for 13 years.
They were travel enthusiasts and enjoyed traveling together before becoming parents. To their dismay, the travel agent they first encountered after their first daughter, Brooklyn, was born tried to discourage them from traveling with their two-month-old baby. The travel agent immediately informed them of the services the resort would not provide to accommodate the new parents. Undeterred, the couple took it upon themselves to plan their itinerary and enjoyed a life-changing travel experience.
When thinking of all the other Black parents who may have been similarly discouraged, Glenn and Amanda became inspired to officially launch In-Style Travel to curate luxurious travel packages intended specifically for Black families, looking to enjoy international and domestic travel with children of all ages.

YOUNG NURSE SAMANTHA CEPEDA'S PLATFORM GIVES THOUSANDS OF NURSING STUDENTS A NEW INTERACTIVE WAY TO STUDY
Samantha Cepeda, is a licensed practical nurse, artist, and educator from Atlanta, who is also the founder and CEO of The NurseSam, a leading resource for visual and interactive learning for nursing students. Her platform offers a new approach to studying with the use of innovation and artistry. Following the philosophy that “a person retains when entertained,” she helps students to effectively digest information while making learning a more fun experience.
Samantha founded the company in 2018, after going through an emergency hysterectomy just 5 days after her wedding. Today, her website has a continuously growing following who benefit from her unique learning materials. She has become a leading resource for nursing students at all levels! “I’m giving nursing students a new way to study and retain information that they will enjoy,” says NurseSam.
There are several types of educational content available on in the site. In addition to digital study guides, the site also offers other learning media such as online courses and live broadcasts.

About this Event
As a part of National Grid's Project C; TGC is working towards Climate and Environmental Justice for all of our New York communities while also providing workforce development and training for residents and vendors in the clean energy sector. Join National Grid in building a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
Vendor Pathway includes existing and start-ups businesses in the following categories: Vendor Development for a "Range of Vendors, Suppliers and Professional Services Candidates", Minority Owned, Women Owned, Veterans Owned, LGBTQ plus other Diverse Candidates, Tier 1, Large-Medium-Small & Micro Businesses, National Grid USA Clean Energy & Weatherization Workforce Training Program focused on underserved communities, and NYS Nat. Grid's local and regional communities.
Workforce Pathway includes candidates ranging form "18 years of age to post-retirees" motivated by Energy Efficiency and Weatherization Training and Employment opportunities to build a Net-Zero Energy Workforce. National Grid seeks to improve a candidate's skills and open-up/expand employment opportunities at The Grid and in the energy industry by providing job opportunities for skilled, predominantly shock-unemployed people, and provide Educational Support tools

32-YEAR-OLD LAINE BRADLEY, MOM OF 4, ACCOUNTANT, CEO SECURES OVER $15M IN FUNDING FOR CLIENTS AND STUDENTS
Laine Bradley, a 32-year-old Haitian-American woman from Raleigh, NC, has helped small businesses and nonprofit organizations secure over $15 million in grant funding. She is the founder and CEO of Vraiment Financial, a full financial firm focused on providing innovative client solutions.
In addition, she is the creator of the Grant Capital Society, a funding resource community for new and existing small businesses and organizations that provides information, resources, and training to become grant ready.
As a wife and mother of four, Bradley prides herself in educating small businesses and organizations to consistently establish the foundation they need to win grant funding.
In 2019, Bradley won her first business grant of $4,000 for her financial firm. She was able to invest the funds into growing her business with a business coach and paying a few months of operational expenses. From there, Bradley has won over $250,000 in grants for her company by applying consistently every month.
She became a certified federal grant writer in 2020 and began assisting other small businesses and organizations for free during the pandemic. By the end of 2020, Bradley was able to secure over $1.2 million.
