Dr. Charles Singleton Shares "A Father’s Day Story for ALL Times And Seasons -- Agape Love!"

Yes, as time goes by, seemingly, for many years now, I have talked and walked alongside my dear friends: Jason, a 37- year-old man (son), with verbal and physical birth challenges, and Larry, the father, who loves and cares for him nightly and daily; as the two of them walk as one.

Jason, while walking often, must carefully hold on to his father’s shirt or jacket; but he is never left behind.  Because, his birth from this motherly earth burdened him with dearth: cerebral palsy, spastic paralysis, apnea-breathing- stoppage, short falls, missed steps; notions of glee, and occasional laughter of liveliness, you see.

Jason’s and Larry’s love for each other speaks to me every time I am with them at Stonecrest Mall, Lithonia, GA, Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, GA, and elsewhere.  From this fatherly-loved experience, I am so deeply touched in my heart, mind, soul, and throughout my entire earthly-spirit.  Inseparably, you see my friends, father’s love, from this strong man (Larry’s heart-felt example), who helps his son Jason to securely stand, walk and talk, is the absolute mainstay of human kindness and our existence.  For there is more to the eyes that we often do not see.  Indeed, and truly, this fatherly love and sincere affection is extraordinarily outstanding; father’s love is just “like a mother’s love for her child, she will do anything, she will do it with a smile, and when trouble comes everything is alright, that's what she will say.  She is up early in the morning and sometimes late at night, doing all she can to make everything alright.” --- Love Will Go All The Way, Lee Williams & the Spiritual QC's, 1998

Queens, NY – Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation, Inc., will recognize ten (10) exceptional Guyanese women with “Women of Influence” Award, one (1) “Pioneer Women of the Year” and one (1) “Youth Leader of the Year” during its Second Annual Honors and Awards Luncheon. Senator James Sanders Jr. Honors 2019 Woman of Distinction - Dr. Coralanne Griffith-Hunte

State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) honored Dr. Coralanne Griffith-Hunte as his 2019 “Woman of Distinction,” an award given through the senate to outstanding women living and working in New York State whose contributions have enriched the quality of life in their community and beyond. The induction ceremony was held in Albany on May 7, 2019.

“Dr. Griffith-Hunte is a role model and an inspiration to the entire district, particularly women.," Sanders said. "Her tireless work and devotion to helping others is admirable and makes her well deserving of the title, Woman of Distinction."

Dr. Coralanne Griffith-Hunte is a Human, Industrial & Trauma Psychologist, who is also the Founder and Chairwoman of Created for Greatness Leadership Group. Dr. Griffith-Hunte has over 25 years’ experience as an orator, educator, humanitarian, mentor, political & organizational consultant, advocate and playwright. She has been a Queens community advocate since 2000.

METRO SPORTS PARTNERS WITH MICROSOFT STORE TO DELIVER ESPORTS AND LIVE MUSIC TOURS ACROSS AMERICA

Philadelphia, PA -- The Metro Sports and Entertainment Group (Metro-Sports) today announces a new partnership with Microsoft Stores to create a unique Esports & Live-Music college tour produced for live-stream viewing, along with Pro Gamer & Professional Game Developer workshops, targeting under-privileged youth from 12-18 years of age.  The partnership features the 2019 Metro-Fest, a multi-city digital sports and music festival beginning in the fall, that will include live-music performances, a technology product expo, and custom amateur video-game competition for prizes, that could include a full semester of paid tuition.

A CALL TO BERNIE SANDERS AND CORNEL WEST ON REPARATIONS: "BLACK PEOPLE CAN'T WAIT!

Nationwide --  Have you ever been caught in the middle of "sumptin" where it seemed as if there was no way out? Like table tennis, you are "pinged and ponged" between two opposing forces: red and blue states. Incessantly, you are slammed into the net because neither side is willing to reconcile the dichotomy of America's ongoing white tribal war: benign neglect by Democrat liberals and recalcitrance by Republican conservatives.

Malcolm X referred to this as the fox or the wolf for black people. This is the nature of reparations where white people are either asking black people to be patient like the Biblical Job or resign ourselves to the waiting room, get in line, take a ticket and listen out for their number (untold millions of Africans who died, as well as, those who were enslaved during the Christian/Atlantic enslavement trade) - which to this day has never been called. No reconciliation; no atonement; and no healing.

This constant request from white people (some blacks as well) to be patient and wait are the critical reasons why Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote the book Why We Can't Wait. King laid out several reasons to make his case during the tumultuous 60's. Those same reasons are applicable today for black people: disillusionment with the way justice is served up for black people; lack of confidence in politicians and the government; decolonization of Africa (today neo-colonialism); living out the true meaning of the Emancipation Proclamation; and economic inequality.
