"As the son of an auto mechanic, I've witnessed firsthand the dire economic effects of losing reliable transportation unexpectedly, especially on immigrant families," said Belance. "My goal with the OTRA app is to provide people with an easy way to feel secure and get the help they need when an unexpected automobile accident or breakdown occurs. I want to help people get back on the road quickly and safely, and back to doing the things they need to do, like getting back to work as quickly as possible."

OTRA app developers have completed the initial prototype and testing phases successfully, including conducting feasibility studies on the need for such a service. Belance and his team are excited about the impact they believe the app can have and are hoping to receive the funding necessary to be able to launch the app worldwide for Android and iOS users. Those sponsoring the next phase of the project on Indiegogo will be eligible for exclusive perks offered by the OTRA team.

And once the app is up and running, Belance is eager to pay it forward as a thank you to all of those who helped him in his journey. Belance plans to donate a portion of all of OTRA's profits to help fund the creation of urban STEM programs for children in the US and Haiti.

About OTRA App's Founder
Bootros Belance was born in Haiti and immigrated to the Miami area in 2002 when he was 18 years old. The consummate self-starter, Belance taught himself English, which motivated him to attend college. He studied management information systems at Miami Dade College and Florida International University before founding OTRA App, LLC and creating the OTRA app. Belance cites his father, an auto mechanic who immigrated to the US when Belance was 5, as the greatest inspiration for creating the OTRA app. His father's hard work and dedication showed Belance that he could accomplish anything if he set his mind to it. OTRA is Belance's gift to his father for his unwavering hard work and belief in his son.
