3-Time Emmy Award
Winning Producer
Michele Williams

Today I got good news a touching historic story we shared on social media (from an article on BET), landed yesterday on the "Today Show." It was seen on my Facebook page and our Black Men Truly Loving Black Women group.

Two ladies with deep family roots and connections in Southeast Queens, made Broadway acting history and were seen on BET, our news blogs, and the prestigious iconic Today Show.  Award winning actress LaChanze stars as the Ghost of Christmas Present in "A Christmas Carol," while her daughter Celia Rose Gooding, makes her Broadway debut starring as "Frankie in Jagged Little Pill."

This is historic because this is the 1st time a Black mom and daughter have starred on Broadway at the same time.  A close personal contact of mine Michele Williams, who is also a 3-Time Emmy Award Winning Producer, at the prestigious NBC Today Show, saw our post about this historic mom and daughter and had it featured on the network's program.  Both are on Broadway in lead roles in separate shows.

Michele then pitched this historic occurrence and got it on the Today Show.  I want to thank Michele Williams for covering this uplifting story during the holiday season.
Also kudos to this mom and daughter duo both killing it in separate Broadway shows.  The Today Show Interview revealed the irony of how mother LaChanze didn't want her daughter to pursue a career in theatre.

She had mixed feelings about her daughter pursuing an acting career on Broadway because it is very tough industry.  However, her daughter obviously has acting chops too.

Some Influential Black Social Media Thought Leaders Are Espousing Voting Apathy Because Reparations Isn't Taken Seriously By Either Party.
However Is This A Good Strategy?
 Dem-Debate 12-19

By Kamau Austin, Publisher Southeast Queens Scoop & Scoop Publications

There has always been demoralized and apathetic black people who have felt voting, especially within the US 2-party system -- doesn't matter.  However, in the past these tended to be people who are economically and socially marginalized.

However more recently we have seen social media thought leaders, usually in a higher income and asset bracket - state this as well.  They have advocated for reparations as the litmus test of whether Blacks should vote in the US.  However it is becoming pretty apparent that both major parties are sidelining the reparations issue.

Did you notice the reparations question posed to former Vice President Joe Biden, in the last Democratic Presidential debate of 12/20/2019 - lasted like 5 seconds? Wow Biden redirected that question fast!

That's possibly the fastest redirect in US debate history?  LOL!  But Seriously, a Facebook Friend asked me "What does that tell you?" Hhhhhm good question. It tells me...

ENTREPRENEUR RELEASES FIRST EVER SHOPPABLE AND 100% CUSTOMIZABLE COOKBOOK

Atlanta, GA -- When doctors tell patients to change the way they eat for health, 7 times out of 10, they give the patient a list of foods to eat or avoid. If you're that patient, you're sent out of the doctor's office wondering what to do with the list.

Planning meals, cooking for your kids, or accommodating your lifestyle and food traditions becomes a time-consuming challenge. And if the doctor diagnosed you with a chronic disease, that challenge can be overwhelming.

No wonder most patients let old habits override medical advice. That where LVNGbook comes in.
