“Connections & Conversations”

 Fundraiser Unites Singles and
Couples for a Night of
Dialogue, Entertainment, and Community Impact

The Rise Network proudly presents “Connections & Conversations,” an engaging and entertaining event for singles and couples, to be held on Saturday, June 21 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Harlem Shark Bar, 341 Lenox Avenue, New York, NY.

Hosted by Rozalyn Shepard, CEO of Rise Network, and author of "LIFEGUARD Your Inner Child - A Journey To Healing & Self-Mastery."  This special charity event …. this special charity event will benefit the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), North Bronx Section, with proceeds going toward community outreach and empowerment initiatives.

Connections & Conversations promises an intriguing experience of dialogue, music, live performances, and merriment, bringing singles who are open to dating and couples together,” says Rozalyn Shepard.

The Event Includes:

  • Engagement in insightful dialogue
  • Personal evaluation and tools
  • Relationship evaluation and tools
  • Live performances also...

A meaningful conversation series inspired by the theme LIFEGUARD Your Inner Child: A Journey to Healing & Self-Mastery. Attendees will explore themes such as healing hidden, ignored or suppressed trauma, all centered around reconnecting with the inner child and strengthening connections, awareness and relationships.

This event is made possible through the support of The Rise Network, Soul Records, (former Motown subsidiary), NCNW North Bronx Section, and Thoughts Magazine.

While there are brilliant persons on the Autism Spectrum celebrated today, very little media stories focus on people, especially women of color. Our co-publisher's new bio-pic "nZinga's Spectrum In 3D," is a moving and inspirational documentary on how a young Black woman RISES to overcome her challenges.


nZinga Austin is also the Co-publisher of Our Black News Scoop and Southeast Queens Scoop.  The documentary of about 1/2 hr long is getting rave reviews.
